While progressing in the Story you are earning dedicated points which can be used to unlock new bus brands. How much of these points are needed differs from brand to brand and how many bus models of a brand are available. After unlocking a bus brand, all of its bus models become accessible for you within the bus dealer’s store, so you can buy them for ingame money. If you don’t own enough money for the bus/es of your choice right now, simply drive some routes to earn some.
While progressing in the Story you are earning District Points which can be used to unlock new districts on the map. After unlocking a district you get access to all of its bus stops and can start servicing them with your self-created bus lines.
Depending on your settings, driving a bus is more or less complex. If you board a bus and it won’t move, please check if the ignition is turned on and if the motor is running. Afterwards make sure to set the automatic gear to D (drive) mode and release the breaks. Now you should be able to drive your bus.
Yes, in Bus Simulator 27, you can pause your ride and leave the cockpit of your bus whenever you want to, to ask your passengers to show their tickets. Next to this, you can also hop on your coworkers' buses to assist them as a ticket inspector during their rides.
